Lately I’ve been seeing stories in the social media that reads about pastors speaking about being gay, some say as Pastor Fred Phelps, head of the Westboro Baptist Church, “God says gays must be put to death” and Brainerd Baptist Church Senior Pastor Rubby Gallaty, but the list goes on and on,
what really bothers me about this whole thing is that these people are just SPREADING HATE, if I’m not wrong God says “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.” and not hate thy neighbour.
What I highly believe is that all these pastors should be taking care of “real problems” in their communities, helping the ones in need. People reach out to God because they need him.
Everybody believes in something, I personally from a very early age was interested in religion and the origin of it all. I asked myself why there is so many if there is only ONE God, so after many years I came to the conclusion that God is really inside ourselves and we really need to believe to move forward.
Also I’ve experienced many different things in relation to different religions that make me sad, like when you are seated in church listening to the pastor and he’s telling you that he knows you don’t have money for the rent, but if you give the money that you have to God (HIS CHURCH) the money will reproduce, while projecting it on a massive screens next to him on stage while wearing designer clothes from head to toe.
This makes me so sad, that someone is taking advantage of all these people that really need a helping hand, all these people that need moral support, all these people that don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I’ve seen articles that speak about economic slumps producing more churchgoers, “When the business cycle goes up, religious attendance goes down, and vice versa. The good mystery is why.” to me it’s not mystery, it is common sense that people need to believe that things will get better.
I’m not trying to say any negative stuff about any type of religion and I’m a believer that we do need to believe. But when you have all these pastors spreading all this hate it makes me mad and I really need to express my feelings. I’m sure there are other people that feel like I do.
I’m an openly gay guy, I have been happily married to my husband for almost a year, I have a regular job, I pay my taxes and I’m tired of these pastors spreading hate!
Have a great day GOD BLESS!

Today Monroe County Circuit Judge Luis Garcia, appointed by Republican Governor Jeb Bush, ruled against Florida’s constitutional amendment banning marriage equality, making the Sunshine State the latest to see such a ban struck down in court since the U.S. Supreme Court handed down its historic marriage rulings last June.

As in ancient Rome, where the Gladiators clashed in front of huge crowds of screaming fans, today we will see the gods of the gridiron inflict their violence on one another in the Super Bowl XLVIII. Traditions of crowds being entertained by mail testosterone induced violence, albeit willingly or not, has been around since the dawn of a manly dominated world. The only difference has been with each passing century the way in which these “games” or “events” take place has evolved with time and aligned itself with what was and is popular at any given time through History. Today we will be witness to such an event when the men of two teams will clash for glory during the Super Bowl with thunderous applause and screaming from rabid fans passionate beyond some peoples understanding. This in the end becomes very similar to the days of the Gladiators, though notably less violent and much more rewarding to the participants, but nonetheless with equal levels of fan following and eagerness to see a champion rise above the rest.
Here is my little tribute to the XVLIII game, my the strongest dominate and win the day!
