Innocence of Purity

December 14, 2013

What is innocence? What does the word imply?

“freedom from sin, moral wrong or guilt through lack of knowledge of evil.” It goes on to say that innocence is “guiltlessness of a specific legal crime or offense”, as well as “freedom from guile, cunning or deceit.”

In other words, innocence is the state in which a person is simply not guilty of committing any wrong acts or sin. Wow. That leaves me out. I’m far from innocent. Chances are, so are you. That’s not a judgment. That’s a fact. I didn’t come up with the fact. God tells us it’s a fact in His word.
